What We Do
A nonprofit built around one idea: the middle class is the untapped resource.
Most wealth-building tools are designed for people who already have wealth. First Capital Renewable Energy CDC exists to close that gap — organizing everyday income and everyday purchases into collective programs that build savings, income, and ownership for the people doing the work.
Educate
Plain-language guidance on community organizing, local economics, and how our programs work — free and open to anyone who wants to learn.
Organize
We help residents form community groups and connect with local merchants, legal services, and program partners already active in their area.
Build Wealth
Member contributions and program activity route into a group economic community-owned fund, so participants build an ownership stake — not just access.
